It’s Tuesday and Bill is around. Time to take advantage of the opportunity to escape solo. My rides have either been slow with kids, slow pulling the trailer, or on my single lately so today is all about staying on top of my gears and using them to get me there fast. I have so much on my mind right now that cresting the top comes quickly. I decide to duck into the woods immediately taking the single track to the peak. This is one of those rides where the clarity of mind unfolds quickly and the trail becomes a blur. Flying down the singletrack, soothes my restless mind, and brings my Vision into crystal clear perspective. I do the DvBv loop charging up the steep grinder before descending the Chute. Yes, this is a pretty standard ride for me but it is nice to know I can consistantly do it in 1:40. I guess I was lucky to get out when I did. As soon as I rolled into my yard Dustin is chasing me down and Bill is out the door. I am content, and now needed.
